My Behance

And I'm doing assignments on my birthday - Oh joy!

Whatever, last 2 and then its exams and then I'm home free. Expect new stuff to start rolling in soon.

A lot of life-related shit has been piling up lately - so hopefully tonight I'll be able to relax and enjoy myself. Hope you're all doing good.

Cheers.

Check me out playas. I'm happy to have gotten the domain name. Also you may have noticed that my journal is all CSS'd out and fresh looking and crap. I didn't really have to use much of my knowledge in CSS because dA seems to have their own way of doing things, along with a slew of resources available. Oh well.

Also have a look at Alex Reeve aka voze on dA.

In other news, I'm almost finished with my site, I think. A lot of projects are due in the next week and then.... exams. I'm gonna try to pump out a few pieces though in the midst of the chaos. Stupid priorities.

Finally joined last.fm for the purpose of discovering some new artists. Trying to expand my knowledge of Trip-Hop outside of Massive Attack so I can sound even more pretentious in social circles.

In other even less relevant news Eminem is back with a predictable first single. See the video here. I'm a big fan of Shady, pre-Encore of course, so let's hope the Relapse is more of return to his roots.

Yes, Yes, Y'all,

George

I finally got a DD! I guess its only appropriate that it's for my most popular piece:

Many thanks to the great :iconsander-seto: for featuring me. I also appreciate all the support I've gotten from everyone. I sorta slept in today and have a lot to do, so maybe some features later. Maybe even finish up a new piece today? This has definitely given me a burst of motivation.

Also, check out :icontypoholics: If you enjoyed my DD and want to see more text art.

Anyways, gotta get on with the day. Thanks everyone!

Cheers,
George

Massive Cult Movement/ Plans For Global Domination

  • Listening to: Hip-Hop, as usual
  • Reading: New Perspective on HTML and XHTML.... Fuck my life
  • Watching: My Neighbor Totoro

What this is: The first ten people who comment on this journal get to be part of a massive cult movement! I will go through your gallery and pick three of my favorite deviations for display here. However, you must post the same offer in your journal for it to count.

I doubt that 10 people will even read this journal ...but you never know! Hurry! SPOTS ARE FILLING UP! HOLY CRAP WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!

1. :icongrungetv: is a multi-talented artist with a vast number of quality pieces under his belt. He specializes in abstract work but also has some great photography and digital paintings. More than worth checking out.

2. :iconencoretheangel: is a young up and comer. His style, while influenced by the great machine56, still has its own flavor. He has some great abstracts, and if you love vector work as much as I do you should take a look.

3. :iconsaibz: has an interesting style. His work is very clean and minimalist, never having unnecessary elements to "beef up" his work. Also some very nice poster designs and great typography.

4. :iconnodentity: is a cool artist with a sleek style. He has a small but very quality gallery. Nice use of color and form with a certain elegance to his pictures.

5. :iconryangenovese: is a talented artist with a unique drawing style. Some very cool illustrations and vectors with a dash of humor. Would like to see some more stuff from him, check him out!

6. :iconzigzagline40: has some cool vector pieces and is quite proficient with creating clean lines and complex shapes. His gallery is small but I would like to see some more of his work, as well as a more developed personal style. Check him out:

7. :iconglors: a young, talented designer who shows nice skills in a wide variety of styles. Looking through his gallery you can see that his pieces have gotten progressively more complex. Take a look.

Additionally

Some of you may be wondering what I'm currently working on, what my plans are for the future, which supermodel I'm nailing. Well, in order:

  1. Developing a more personal style, working on composition, form, and color. Practicing certain techiniques rather than creating cliche'd artworks.

  2. I'm enrolled in the Graphic Communications Management program here at Ryerson (Toronto), we're creating sites with HTML/CSS, so expect my portfolion to be online quite soon.

  3. Marisa Miller... yeah right.

    1. Cheers!

Oh and I just got a subscription so I can feature your stuff with thumbnails... FTW!
