Been working on this way too long, and I'm still a little unsatisfied. Started as a typography piece but has clearly changed a lot since then. Everything is my own work except for the stock photo of the city. The title is kind of a sociological question, and this piece is supposed to represent the futility and emptiness of everyday life. "Why am I here? What is my purpose? Is any of this even real?" The dark smoke represents that though the question is indeed a serious and relevant one, its often times easier to ignore it... easier to live life without questioning such things.
There are lot more interpretations of this, but its better if you figure that out for yourselves.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
